How to measure

A minute at the table.

Press-on numbers run 0–11, matching UNA GELLA gel tips. Zero is the widest tip in the box; eleven is the narrowest. Each set uses five of those numbers, thumb to pinky.

Step 1

Three photos and a quarter

This is the method other press-on studios use. Lay the finger flat on a table. Set a US quarter heads-up right beside it. Shoot straight down so the coin looks like a circle. Photo 1 thumb, photo 2 index/middle/ring, photo 3 pinky. Stretch the bar across the nail bed from above.

Step 2

Measure the nail bed

Width is taken at the widest part of the pink nail bed — not the white free edge, and not the skin around it.

Step 3

Or use a card on screen

A credit card’s short edge is about 54 mm. In Size, choose Screen and line the on-screen bar up with that edge, then match each nail.

Step 4

Between two numbers

If you land between sizes, go down a number (wider) for a snug salon set, or up a number if you prefer a little breathing room.

Step 5

Thumbs wander

The thumb is the finger most likely to need a custom mix. If four fingers match a set and the thumb doesn’t, we can swap just that tip.
